About the room

The first of the six bedrooms is the Master Bedroom, adjacent to the Dining Room, and the largest bedroom in the house with views over the lawn towards the Gallery. A previous owner of the bed has made carvings in the wooden frame. One is of a couple; in another, one of the figures has been scratched out. Unusually, there is also a bread oven located near the fireplace, which may indicate that this room was used as a kitchen at one point.

Master Bedroom

Grafitti Bedroom

The room has green tones, a feature fireplace and a tapestry-upholstered sofa to provide an additional area to unwind.

Pipilotti Rist Bedroom

A partition wall has been left as an original feature in this bedroom. This was added in the late 1970s to create a bathroom, which has also been left as it was.

Brass Bedroom

Full of character and lively details, this room’s vintage wallpaper has been left untouched, although the walls have been treated. The American Victorian brass bed has an unusual design and is a strong presence within the room.

Niki & Jackie’s Bedroom

Up a second set of stairs you will find the secret attic room. Sitting in the eaves of the Farmhouse, this charming bedroom is light and refreshingly different to the rest.

Paul McCarthy Bedroom

Taking Paul McCarthy’s wallpaper as inspiration, this bedroom features a vibrant blue colour scheme with views looking out towards the Gallery.

Our location

A six bedroom Farmhouse in the beautiful Somerset countryside, on the edge of Bruton. Durslade Farmhouse is located on the site of Hauser & Wirth Somerset and forms part of a group of Grade II listed farm buildings that date back from as early as 1760.

Roth Bar & Grill

Situated just across the courtyard from Durslade Farmhouse, the Roth Bar & Grill combines seasonal food with contemporary art and is a vibrant, informal and convivial eating-place, serving honest food. The restaurant, led by husband and wife team Steve and Jules Horrell, works closely with local farmers, gamekeepers and gardeners, to use ethical British produce with a focus on sustainability.

Hauser & Wirth Somerset

We encourage you to visit the art centre on-site where you can enjoy a varied exhibition programme, special lectures, educational activities, events and the gallery shop.

Roundhill Grange

Roundhill Grange, a Grade II listed Georgian house, is located in 200 acres of historic parkland on the outskirts of Bruton. The enchanting setting makes for an event space like no other, embracing the surrounding beauty and simplicity of nature.

Durslade Farm Shop

At its heart, Durslade Farm Shop is a community farm shop that celebrates the best growers, farmers and makers Somerset has to offer as well as the produce from the surrounding farm, Durslade Farm. The Farm Shop is passionate about promoting and sharing local talent, supporting small projects with big futures and working with established ones to create special products that you can only find in the Farm Shop.
